Tuesday 25th June @ Portchester

Historically PDBKA have had no meetings in the summer months. However, we think that this is a time when beekeepers, new and experienced like to swap stories about their experiences. So this year the June meeting will be on Tuesday 25th June at Portchester at 7.30pm which will start with a talk by David Nield called ‘Penthouses for Virgin Queens’. This will be followed by 3 workshops each lasting 10mins: 1. Splitting a hive led by Geoff Piper 2. MC to lead a workshop on making wax foundation on plastic frames 3. Making frames led by WG. Members make 1 choice . Please bring a small hammer if you wish to make frames. This will be followed by a question and answer session led by John Storey on questions you have asked. We have had a few questions but if you would like one read out please send to me asap so I can send them onto John. This will be followed by tea/coffee and a raffle. This will be a very informal meeting.
