The Association has many experienced beekeepers amongst its membership, who are very happy to give new beekeepers a helping hand with practical advice and hands on instruction on how to manage bees. Start up equipment can be economically purchased at local auctions and from our shop at the Bastion. The Association intends to again put on displays at local shows to educate the public and attract new members. Denmead, Havant, East Meon & Emsworth being some.

Any support members can give at these events will be greatly appreciated. Basic Beekeeping courses are run periodically by members.

Committee Meetings are held at 7.30 p.m. in “The Skep” at Bastion 3 as and when required while the Bastion Shop opens Saturday mornings from early March

For SWARMS, please first ensure it is a honeybee swarm check here. If it is a honeybee swarm, then please contact the one of the swarm co-ordinators listed.

If you cannot get hold of a swarm collecter then you can contact one via the BBKA website. BBKA Swarm Collection

The P&DBKA newletters are published on this website and they contain lots of up to the minute information. Please read them!
