One of our Committee members, Mark Page, volunteered to be our Association's Bee Health Advisor.
He has recently done a training session with Nigel Semmence, our Regional Bee Inspector, together with representatives from the other Hampshire Associations.

The role of the Bee Health Advisor is to give a second opinion to any Club member who suspects they may have a notifiable disease i.e. European Foul Brood or American Foul Brood. Mark has some of the testing kits and should disease be found Mark will then contact either our Regional Bee Inspector or our Seasonal Bee Inspector and they will then take over.

This position is purely voluntary and if members need to call Mark out to have a look at their hives a voluntary contribution towards his travel costs would be appreciated and a suggested amount would be £5. Mark lives in Southsea and his contact details are:-
