DESCRIPTION:There is an opportunity to hear from three of the research groups that are being funded by the BBKA to learn how the research is progressing. There will be an opportunity to ask questions of each researcher.  The approximate timings are: \n10.30am: Pam Hunter\, BBKA – Brief Introduction \n10.40 – 11.10am: Hannah Samson\, Leicester University \nLooking at the effect of air pollution on pollinators using bumble bees as a model. The microbial communities of gut samples have been analysed using DNA.\n11.20 – 11.40am: Philip Donkersley\, Lancaster University \nLooking for the presence of insecticides\, fungicides and herbicides in bee samples from municipal sites.\n12.00 – 12.30pm: Nick Balfour\, Sussex University \nSetting up a data base of plants and insects interactions (DOPI).\nTickets for the event are free but pre-registration is essential\, please follow the link below.
