February 2025 Members Meeting – Using Nucleus Boxes
February 25, 2025 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
- Date & Time: 25th of February 2025
- Speakers: Brian Herbert
- Title: Using Nucleus Boxes (Face to Face meeting)
- Brief description: Nucleus boxes are very much the Cinderellas of beekeeping, possibly because they are so expensive to buy. Nevertheless, nuc boxes can be a valuable aid to managing your bees – colony sizes, queen rearing, general inspections. Costs can be managed if you are willing to knock up your own boxes and are not too precious about looks! With proper aftercare these boxes can give years of service. We’ll take a look at how you can minimise costs and how you can use these boxes in your beekeeping.
- Location: Portchester Parish Hall
- Open to/Cost: Free to members
